The idea behind this initiative was inspired by the incredible outcomes we observed after our initial intervention. The donation of Piglets not only provided a source of income for the widows but also boosted their dignity and empowered them in their farming practices. These remarkable results motivated us to explore further avenues to improve the lives of these deserving individuals.

 Recognizing the importance of sustainability and the versatility of goats in rural communities, we decided to donate these magnificent animals to the elderly widows. Goats are known for their ability to adapt to different environments and provide valuable resources. By offering them these goats, we aimed to provide the widows with a continuous source of income.

On the memorable day of May 26, Gilbert and Odette visited Gicumbi and personally handed over the goats to the five selected widows. The joy and gratitude we witnessed in their eyes were truly indescribable. They expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the support they received from LIFE Link and how it will positively transform their lives.

The widows raising goats will improve their economic stability and self-sufficiency. As the goats multiply, they can sell them for income and utilize them as a source of fertilizers. This diversification creates opportunities for financial growth and skill development, empowering the widows to support themselves and their families.
